Milk Cooling & Storage Systems

Dairy farms rely on highly efficient cooling of the milk at a consistent temperature at about  4˚C  in the milk tanks until it is collected for further processing. Fresh milk must be cooled from 37˚C to 4˚C within one hour of the end of milking.

Milk is refrigerated to maintain its quality for as long as possible and to reduce the growth of bacteria. Milk Tanks are typically equpped with a mixer to accelerate the cooling process. By using milk pre-coolers, bulk tank condensers run for a shorter time to cool the milk at higher pumping rates, resulting in electricity savings.

Installation of an in-line cooling system depends on several factors such as: heard size, number and size of compressors, type of refrigerant uses, etc.

Our custom designed milk cooling and storage systems are built from polished stainless steel for durability and ease of cleaning and are available in various models and sizes with different capacities to suit the needs of small and large operations.
